On April 11th, The Real Estate Transaction Promotion Center released March, 2022 transaction trends for nationwide second hand homes.
The average transacted price of existing condos was 33.09 million yen (up 7.08% YoY), and the average price per square meter was 502,000 yen (up 8.71% YoY), both positive for 22 consecutive months.
Exclusive floor space was 67.39 square meters (down 1.24% YoY), a decrease for the 10th consecutive month. The average age of buildings transacted was 24.02 years (up 3.34% YoY), increasing for the 10th consecutive month.
The number of condo contracts closed was 6,469 transactions (down 19.01% YoY), a decline for the third consecutive month.
The average transacted price of second hand freestanding homes increased for the 21st consecutive month to 26.17 million yen (up 3.29% YoY).
