The house design has the highest seismic resistance rating using architecture commonly used in skyscrapers.
On April 5th, Panasonic Homes will begin selling their Casart Black & Stone model, a Zero Energy Home (ZEH) from April 6th.
The exterior features a stately design with black sashes and large natural stone tiles. The structure is a steel-frame axis with seismic damping, which is normally used in skyscrapers.

The Black & Stone has a Grade 3 rating, the highest seismic performance rating achievable, under the Housing Performance Indication System, and comes with an Earthquake Safety and Comfort Warranty that restores the building to its original condition in the unlikely event that more than half the house is damaged in an earthquake.
The structure can be designed in 15-cm increments, allowing for flexibility in the creation of workspaces.
Panasonic’s central air conditioning system Airlohas, which can ventilate and air condition not only living rooms but also non-residential spaces such as corridors and washrooms, has been integrated into the design to achieve both comfort and energy efficiency, making it easy to meet ZEH requirements.

The structural price tag is in the 35 million yen range (including tax; land price not included). The homes will be sold throughout Japan, excluding Hokkaido and some other regions.
The sales target for the first year is 500 houses.
