Total revenue reached a new all time high for the firm.
On November 11th, Mitsui Fudosan Realty announced its group brokerage results for the first half of the fiscal year ending March 31, 2022.
Mitsui Fudosan Realty focuses mainly on residential real estate services and like many companies in Japan, start their fiscal year on April 1st.
In the period under review ranging from April 1st to September 30th, 2021, the company handled 914.425 billion yen in transaction volume, up 36.8% year-on-year (YoY) and 26,868 transactions, up 19.5% YoY.
Total sales in the brokerage segment, which includes sales brokerage commissions, rental brokerage commissions, property management revenues, and other related revenues, were 42.447 billion yen, up 25.4% YoY.
In the same period of 2020, brokerages were closed due to the issuance of the first emergency lockdown, so this year's sales increased significantly in comparison.
Total sales were slightly higher than 2019, and together with transaction volume, reached an all time high.
By September 30th, 2021, the company had 290 shops nationwide, up 5 from the previous year.
